I was raised in a world of art. Music, literature, dance, drama, and painting filled my childhood. My mother always had good toys and she shared. While music was my first love, eventually my fascination with people led me to portrait making, both in graphite and watercolor. Photographs can preserve the image but a portrait displays so much more. Though primarily self taught I have taken classes at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art and at TAG. In the past few years I've begun to expand my subjects to landscapes, animals, and fantasy images. Art is an endless source of self discovery.
