THEMES
This juried exhibit features place-based reflections on history, memory, landscape, and community within the context of America at 250 exploring the historic character of the Northern Neck—its landscapes, buildings, waterways, and the stories layered within them. This call is intentionally open and interpretive. Artists are encouraged to respond to history in ways that are literal, symbolic, abstract, or deeply personal.
Inspiration might come from architecture, working watermen, old roads and churches, family stories, or places where past and present quietly meet.
