09/27/25 • Making an Impression: Linoleum Cut Printmaking • SEPTEMBER 27 Saturday. 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Instructor: Steve Prince, award-winning artist and Director of Engagement and Distinguished Artist in Residence at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, College of William and Mary. Prince, a self-styled ‘art evangelist’, believes in creating a welcoming space to express the power and beauty of art, to share his process, and to extend that experience to everyone. His own work across multiple media is layered with history and symbols, thematic and community-based.
In this hands-on workshop participants will learn the limitless process of creating linoleum cut relief prints that can be used for making greeting cards, fine art, and illustrations. Participates will learn how to translate text into visual iconography and create an original work of art.
*TAG invites all people to participate in classes, and we never want price to be a barrier. If you can’t afford to attend a class, send an email to info@tapparts.org or call 804-925-1011. We have scholarship funding available for high school students, seniors on a fixed income, or people in a tough spot financially. No shame!
