About the Instructor: Based in the Northen Neck of Virginia (Montross), Anne Pritchett has an undergraduate degree in art from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies) with concentrations in watercolor and graphic design. She ended up an accidental tourist in her career and ended up with a PhD in public policy advocating for public policies to support US innovation & global competitiveness. Through the years she’s maintained a love of art, and over the past several years has been fortunate to have the time to dedicate to creating new art and helping others explore their creative side. An avid scuba diver and world traveler, her travels and fish and underwater critters are often featured in her creations. Living on the water, she is often inspired by the amazing birdlife and all the other creatures, flora & fauna, and other scenes that you find along Virginia’s waterways. She uses a variety of media including watercolor, colored pencils, pastels and acrylic paints.
