Affectionately known for their charismatic art, the Virginia based art educators Konstantina and Ignat Konstantinov, aka the “KonKons,” are two Bulgarian-born American artists in a unique collaborative effort. Their mixed media and installation artworks give glimpses of the breadth of their studies, experiments, and practice within and outside of their teacher’s influence. “In Art we live” is their favorite motto. Through the last decade of Konstantina’s earthly life, the KonKons initiated multiple new venues of creative collaboration between two infinities.
Ellen Werner is a self taught contemporary artist who resides in Tappahannock Virginia. Her work ranges from realism to impressionistic abstract. By using vivid color she evolves her style by exploring ideas beyond the canvas to convey a story within each of her works. “Each painting comes from an emotion, experience or subconscious vibe that flows from my mind to the canvas.”
