Art is too important not to share.
Romero Britto
When you reflect on your life and those things that you hold most dear, often they are associated with an artistic experience. Perhaps you were at a museum with a friend or family member. Or memorizing a poem to recite at a school ceremony. Maybe it’s a painting or an object that you created in art class that sparked your desire to make more.
Art gives us the wings to rise above the mundane, to explore ourselves more deeply, and to make sense of the world as it affects us.
For some people, artistic opportunities come often and easily, whether because of where we live, or the privileges life has afforded us. For others, it is harder. That’s why, at TAG, we return to our mission over and over again, when choosing our programming, our outreach, and our presence in our community.
We are among the lucky who have weaved art into our lives and selves. And we are committed to sharing that with everyone so that all boats may rise.
Won’t you join us in this lofty goal? Be as generous as you can. The more you give, the more lives are enriched. We thank you for your partnership and we hope to see you often at the gallery or at TAG events.
TAG is an acronym for Tappahannock Artists’ Guild and Tappahannock Art Gallery. We are dedicated to making our community a more beautiful place.
